Vintage Majolica Cookie Jar Italy Grapes Basket Weave

This gorgeous cookie jar is Italian Majolica. It has a wonderful basket weave design that was made by piping or trailing slip onto the piece in a zig zag movement which I believe could only be done by hand. On top of the basket weave design are bunches of purple, yellow and blue grapes with green leaves. The cookie jar measures approx. 6 1/2" across x 8" to top of knob on lid. It is marked on the bottom with 1968/379 K.B.N.Y. Hand Paint End. There is a pin head size glaze flake on the edge of lid and another pin head sized glaze flake on the rim of the base. No other nicks, chips or cracks. There is light crazing on bottom and inside base. This is a wonderful piece of Italian artistry. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
