Aynsley China Cobalt & Gold Floral Cup & Saucer Set C1464

This elegant set features a bright cobalt blue band with gold scrolls inside a white band with a matching scroll. Most Anysley patterns did not have a name, just a number. This particular pattern came in other colors, in addition to the cobalt. It was originally intended as a coffee cup but it will also hold tea.
Dimensions: The cup measures 2 3/4" high.
Marks/Dates: c. 1951. Aynsley green backstamp on the bottom.
Condition: No chips, cracks or other damage. It appears to be a cabinet piece, not used for everyday.
