This hand made painted ceramic figural teapot is shaped like an English thatched roof cottage, complete with roses around the door and latticed windows.
Dimensions: The 2-cup teapot measures 3 1/8" high at the rim or 5 1/4" with the lid.
Marks/Dates: Stamped "Staffordshire Croft Hand Made and Painted in Staffordshire England" on the bottom. There is an impressed number but we can just make out the "48_4." Crown Windsor purchased the factory and molds of Shaw & Copestake in the 1980's. The thatched roof pattern was made by Shaw & Copestake under the SylvaC name.
Condition: No chips or cracks. Light crazing in a few spots on the roof
