Shawnee Pottery Vintage Collectible JILL Cookie Jar & Lid

This vintage collectible cookie jar is shaped like Jill - from the Jack & Jill nursery rhyme. Her base is her blue skirt with brown shoes sticking out, and her lid is her face and upper body. Early Shawnee cookie jars are decorated with cold paint - paint on top of the glaze.
Dimensions: The cookie jar measures 12" high.
Marks/Dates: c. 1940's. Impressed "USA" on the bottom.
Condition: No cracks or chips. A few areas - a sleeve, the bottom of a pigtail, have some paint loss but otherwise she is in terrific vintage condition!
