Each piece of this set has a design of pink daisy-like flowers with yellow centers and gold encrusted leaves and branches. The bases, lids, handles and spout are all finished in heavy gold! And each piece is signed by the artist "Regina" with a crown above.
Stouffer was an early to mid-20th century porcelain decorating firm in Chicago that competed with Pickard. Their styles are similar. Often these firms would purchase Limoges blanks and hand paint them for the American market.
There are 5 pieces:
* The tea pot (teapot) with lid measures 9 1/2" long x 5 1/2" tall.
* The creamer measures 6" x 3 1/8";
* The double-handled sugar bowl with lid measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/4".
Dates/Marks: Stamped on the bottom "Stouffer Fine China." There is no mark that indicates the blank's origin. Each piece is also artist signed on the lower right corner.
Condition: We should all look this good at this age! With the exception of some minor gold rub on the inside rims of the sugar bowl (see below) and tea pot, there are no chips, cracks or other damage.
