EAPG JEWELED MOON & STARS Cake Stand Cooperative Flint Glass

Not to be confused with L.E. Smith's "Moon & Star" pattern, this is Cooperative Flint Glass' Jeweled Moon & Stars, aka "Imperial". It's a decorative design with the "jewels" inside the large circles. The cake stand has a rum well in the center, a gingerbread rim around the plate, and a scalloped skirt. The pedestal has a diamond patterned ball in the center and the moon and stars pattern repeats on the base.

Dimensions: The cake stand measures 10" in diameter x 6" high.

Marks/Dates: 1896. Cooperative Flint Glass. Shown on page 133 of James & O'Brien's excellent, Early American Pattern Glass Cake Stands & Serving Pieces.

Condition: Ready to use! There is a slice on the gingerbread rim, as if a knife slipped when cutting, and a couple of chips on the underside of the skirt. Very nice for its age. No utensil scratching on the surface.
