18 Pc Nippon Lithophane Tea Set Blue Cherry Blossom

This lovely, mid-century tea set from Japan features a blue cherry blossom design on a white background.  The set includes 1) bamboo handled teapot with lid and strainer; 2) creamer and sugar bowl with lid; 3) four dessert plates; 4) four geisha lithophane tea cups and matching saucers.

Dimensions:   The teapot measures 4 1/2" high at the rim x 7 1/2" in diameter and holds 4 cups.  The bamboo handle is removable for cleaning.  Each cup measures 3 1/2" in diameter x 1 3/4" high.

Marks/Dates: c. 1950s.  Some pieces are marked with the symbols "Nichi Hon," which translates to "Nippon."  Other pieces are not marked, and of course the lithophane cups are not marked.

Condition: No cracks, chips or other damage.
